Table

I had modified the old table to be removable and then modified the space for “U” seating,  The problem was that the old table was Formica on particle board and was very heavy and difficult to stow. I built this  table by modifying a 2 ft by 4 ft plastic utility table that I got at Costco for ~ $40. I removed the metal framework, and fabricated a folding table leg out of redwood (because it’s light weight) and used a piece of oak for top support. The ends of the oak support have dowels that swivel in holes on oak side pieces. When not used the leg is held up by a short piece of bungy cord. The SS locking table clips were mounted by cutting slots in one end of the table and fastening with short screws. In use the leg stays in place via gravity and rubber feet.  The table weighs less than 10 lbs, fits easily in the quarter berth and is impervious to water. This is revision 1 but it works great. If I were to do it over again I would use full length side braces to give the table a little more support.
